Card Review Turnaround & Holiday Card Lead-Times

Hello,
Here are a few new card tips to make things go more smoothly for everyone.
 
CARD REVIEW EXPECTATIONS:  
In general, please expect cards to be reviewed within 4 weeks, however during peak periods it can be longer.     Current review time is 8 weeks (updated: 8/15/13).
 
HOLIDAY CARD LEAD-TIMES:
When creating new Holiday cards start early.  It's best to submit Holiday cards at least one month before the Holiday is upon us to allow for review time and for search engines like Google to pick up new card data.  Ideally holiday cards would be submitted 3 months in advance of the holiday.
 
Cards submitted just a week or even days before the actual holiday, with the exception of special requested cards, have for the most part missed the window of opportunity for sales that year.  That is not to say that orders are not placed close to or even after the holiday but sales begin up to a month before the holiday and the bulk of sales occur two weeks before the holiday.
 
For example, in order for a card to arrive by Valentine's Day on 2/14 it should to be ordered by 2/6.  Valentine's Day card sales the week of 2/9 were significantly slower compared to the week of 2/2.
 
FAST TRACK REQUESTS:
When you need a card approved ASAP, specifically for special custom requests, time sensitive private cards and series concept review please check Fast Track Review during the create a card process:

Note, fast track is not to be used to expedite holiday cards that have been submitted too close to the holiday date.

Mindy,  I have two pending now #370382 and 370381, it seems like forever, but just 2 or 3 days now.  I usually never have to wait this long.  Would the problem be the category?  "Save the date"  I did not know where to place these as they are reminders to change your clocks forward for daylight saving time.  Just for fun cards, I thought I would try.

Smiley Hi Mindy and thank you. It is always helpful to know the little things and knowing thast most sales occur two weeks beofre aholiday is helpful, especially I feel to newbies like myself.

My note on this thread above; I received this message:
"This card may be resubmitted after the following issue(s) are fixed:  
We have not approved your card for your chosen categories. Nothing in the image/art nor verse of this general card speaks to the specific occasion. Year Specific - its an occasion that recurs each year perhaps it belongs in Save the Date - general "
 
However, when I look for that GENERAL sub category it doesn't exist.

LOL, too funny!  Grin Maybe they meant to say, just use "Save the Date", and not use a sub-category under that. But, I'm like you, I would have looked for the sub-category they asked for!
