The promotion is ready to go on GCUniverse as well as on our other BigDates sites.

Here are some highlights for this week:
o cards are 50 cents with no tax and no postage
o artists, keep adding new cards to the Collections >>Support our Troops category
o there's a promotional banner on the Support our Troops category page
o we're sending 50,000 emails to tonight with this promotional banner
o we will issue our press release about the program before the end of this week

We have created direct URL's to the Support our Troops pages:

A few are pretty active and very supportive of the troops, so I am hoping for a good response.

I'm really glad to be a part of something like this. One last questions-since we aren't getting paid on these, will they still show on our reports as sold cards? I'm just curious to see how many, if any, of mine are sold

Yes, the clicks and sales should still show up in your account.

We have created banners for you to post on your website or blog to promote the Support our Troops program.

From Administrative Settings page go to Community >> Banner Ads

Simply copy the html code for the banner you want and paste it in the proper location on your site or blog.

PS: Also on this Banner Ads page there are html banners to promote GCUniverse that link to your storefront for artists who can't use the Card Widget

Hi guys,
I notice when you click on the "Support the Troops" category, it tells you about the promotion going on. I was just wondering if there was any other place on the acutal sites that this promotion was mentioned. Also, has the press release come out yet, I don't think I have seen it mentioned? Can you tell us how the promotion is going, getting a good repsonse? Just curious.

Hi Christie,
Yes, the promotional banner you see on the Support our Troops category page appears on all of our BigDates' properties. We will be putting the banner on more prominent pages as well across all of our sites.

Lots of other activities going on daily. So busy, my apologies for not posting an update.

1. Last month the banner was featured in our monthly calendar email that is sent to nearly all BigDates' reminder service users.

2. We plan to run the banner in our 4th of July reminder emails.

3. A press release did go out. A first distribution was released earlier this week and a broader distribution is planned for the end of the week. See: http://www.pr-inside.com/troops-get-cards-of-support-from-r151472.htm

4. By the end of the week we plan to have an artist's press release for you to issue and pitch to your local media sources for coverage.

5. Last week we made available html banners for you to post on your blogs and websites. From Administrative Settings page go to Community >> Banner Ads

To really create a buzz we need everybody to help make some noise!! Cheesy

It's really too early to report results, but numbers are growing and encouraging as we build momentum.

I just sent 7 cards. 2 by me but the rest by other artists here. I'm going to send more but I wanted to do a few quickly today... I mean if we all send just 10 cards imagine how many troops would get cards.
