Showcase your Cards on your blog or website
Feb 12th, 2007, 3:21pm

We are getting such great feedback from our artists.  Keep it coming!

Suggested by one of our artists, we have created a widget that you can easily post on your blog or website to showcase your greeting cards.  It's as simple as copying a line of code and pasting it where you want it to be displayed.

It's similar to a banner but better!  It has a rolling slideshow of your cards and with a click links visitors to your GCU storefront.  You must have at least one card in your store to use the widget.

Get your Card Widget under "Community" on your Administrative Settings page:
http://www.greetingcarduniverse.com/community/card_widget.asp

Let us know what you think of the Card Widget.

Hi Mindy,
The widget is FANTASTIC!  It is very easy to add to your website, and you're right it looks better and is better than a banner because 'surfers' will be able to see your greeting cards right on your website.  And it will most likely inspire them to click on "shop my cards" which brings them to GSU!  And we all win!   MORE TRAFFIC!

Thanks for the expertise in making such a professional looking widget.  Artists, this is VERY easy to upload on your site.

Thanks again.

P.S.  If you like, you can view the widget on my website at www.ChrisQillustration.com.  Go to my links page.

Helloo
Happy to be here and gradually finding my way around
Loaded the widget onto my blog but I find it difficult/impossible to read the white writing on the pale blue bg.
Please let me know if this can be changed.
Thanks!

Hi,
The text against the pale blue should be black.  Apparently we had a variable to follow your hosting page controls.  We've have just changed it to be fixed black text.  All you need to do is fresh the page and you should see the black text.

Pls let me know if you don't.

Thanks for the post!

Hi Yvonne,
We are working on an html banner that you can use.  I'll post when it's available.  Thanks for your suggestion.

Many of you have expressed how much you love the Card Widget - well we've made it even better  Cool

It's got a sharper graphic look and now you can customize it - colors, title, fonts and even which cards it displays by card category, keywords and storefront module.

Customize your Card Widget under Community from the Admin Settings page:
http://www.greetingcarduniverse.com/community/card_widget.asp

Changes to your Card Widget will AUTOmatically update to your posted widget.  You do NOT have to recopy the HTML code.

Let us know what you think.
Mindy

PS: banner ads coming soon for those who can't leverage the widget

Hi Yvonne,
Thanks for your suggestion and patience!

Just available html banners to put on your site or blog.  They promote GCUniverse and link to your storefront.

Get the banners from your Admin Settings page under Community >> Banner Ads

Let me know how it works for you!
